“It’s the one tool I don’t think about”
We asked Liu what keeps a tool around for a decade. His answer was practical, like most farmers’ answers are:
“A tool earns its place by not failing during the two weeks a year when everything depends on it. This one never has. It’s the one tool I don’t think about.”
Coffee on terraces is hard on equipment. The IF-16M gets carried up slopes, set down on stone, and refilled from whatever water is nearby. Twice a year Liu rinses the tank, checks the seal, and greases the pump lever — maintenance he does himself, in minutes, with nothing more than a screwdriver.

Visits like this one shape what we build. Liu’s replaced strap set led us to look hard at harness wear — work that became this spring’s padded harness retrofit kit, which fits every backpack model we’ve sold since 2019, including his.
The best product feedback doesn’t arrive in surveys. It hangs by a shed door for ten years, and you go and look at it.
