Troubleshooting
Common issues, real fixes.
Fifteen of the questions our support team answers most. Tap any to expand.
My electric sprayer won’t turn on.
Check that the battery is charged and fully seated in its housing. If the indicator stays dark after an hour on the charger, inspect the charging port for moisture or debris and confirm the power switch clicks firmly into the ON position.
The pump runs but no liquid sprays.
This is almost always a clog or an air lock. Remove and rinse the nozzle and filter, then prime the pump by squeezing the trigger with the tank cap loosened so trapped air can escape.
Spray pressure is weak or uneven.
A worn pump seal or a partially blocked filter is the usual cause. Clean the intake filter, check the seals for cracks, and make sure the tank isn’t over-pressurised past the relief valve setting.
The nozzle keeps clogging.
Mix and strain your solution before filling, and rinse the nozzle and in-line filter at the end of every working day. For hard-water areas, an occasional soak in a mild vinegar solution clears mineral build-up.
Liquid is leaking from the tank lid.
Confirm the lid is seated squarely and tightened fully. If it still seeps, the gasket has likely hardened — replace it with the EU-certified gasket for your model from the after-sales kit.
The battery drains faster than it used to.
Lithium cells lose capacity with age and with storage at full or empty charge. Store the battery around 50% in a cool, dry place, and avoid leaving it on the charger for days at a time.
The shoulder straps slip or dig in.
Re-thread the strap through the buckle so the free end is pinned under load, and balance the tank fill — a half-empty tank shifting on the back is the most common comfort complaint.
There’s a chemical smell after spraying.
Triple-rinse the tank, hose, and nozzle with clean water after each chemical, and never leave mixed solution in the tank overnight. Residue in the hose is the usual source of lingering odour.
The trigger lever feels stiff.
Grit in the trigger valve causes stiffness. Disassemble the wand handle, rinse the valve and spring, and apply a drop of food-grade silicone lubricant before reassembly.
The hose has cracked or split.
Stop using the sprayer until it’s replaced — a cracked hose under pressure is a chemical-exposure risk. Replacement hoses are matched by model in the spare-parts section.
My manual sprayer loses pressure quickly.
The piston cup seal needs attention. Unscrew the pump cylinder, inspect the cup for wear, and refresh it with a light coat of silicone grease or replace it if the edges are split.
Water gets into the battery compartment.
Always close the compartment latch fully and keep the sprayer upright in transport. If water has entered, dry it completely and let it air out 24 hours before charging.
The spray pattern is too wide or too fine.
Swap the nozzle tip to match the job — fan tips for broadcast coverage, cone tips for targeted misting. Each IFOURNI sprayer ships with a tip set for exactly this.
How often should I service the pump?
Inspect seals and filters at the start of every season and after roughly 100 hours of use. A five-minute check prevents the large majority of mid-season failures.
Where do I get genuine replacement parts?
Through your local IFOURNI distributor or dealer, quoting your model number. Genuine EU-certified parts keep your warranty valid — the contact team can point you to the nearest source.
