The sprayer hanging by his shed door is an IF-16M he bought ten harvests ago. The straps have been replaced once. The pump, never.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-x-large-font-size\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--70)\">&#8220;It&#8217;s the one tool I don&#8217;t think about&#8221;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We asked Liu what keeps a tool around for a decade. His answer was practical, like most farmers&#8217; answers are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;A tool earns its place by not failing during the two weeks a year when everything depends on it. This one never has. It&#8217;s the one tool I don&#8217;t think about.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Coffee on terraces is hard on equipment. The IF-16M gets carried up slopes, set down on stone, and refilled from whatever water is nearby. Twice a year Liu rinses the tank, checks the seal, and greases the pump lever \u2014 maintenance he does himself, in minutes, with nothing more than a screwdriver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-x-large-font-size\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--70)\">What we took back to the factory<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visits like this one shape what we build. Liu&#8217;s replaced strap set led us to look hard at harness wear \u2014 work that became this spring&#8217;s padded harness retrofit kit, which fits every backpack model we&#8217;ve sold since 2019, including his.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The best product feedback doesn&#8217;t arrive in surveys.
